Hervé Renard has thrown in the towel. The French Lions coach has resigned from his position as coach of the Moroccan national team.
This was announced on Monday July 15 by Arryadia on its social networks. “Hervé Renard has resigned from his position as a Lions coach,” says the sports channel’s website.
It should be recalled that the Arryadia channel and the French daily L’Equipe had stated that Hervé Renard would not remain coach of the Atlas Lions after the CAN. After Morocco’s elimination against Benin, the coach did not want to give any information on the subject, maintaining the total uncertainty. Renard had recalled that he was bound to the Moroccan Federation by a contract that runs until 2021 and that he “respects” this contract. “The decision to leave or stay will be made at the right time. I thank all those who have supported us over the past three years,” he said.
What is certain is that the French technician is coveted by several teams and clubs. Fox would be considered to coach the Saudi national team, which has been without a coach since last January after his elimination from the Asian Cup. The announcement was recently made by the Saudi sports newspaper Arriyadia.
